PARAMETRIC BRICK The geometries of this project were accomplished through the analysis of traditional paintings of Burkina Faso, Africa.
This paintings, found in their houses, serve has geometric principle for the main design of the bricks. At the same time the colors used contributed to the design of the volumes creating different shadow compositions.
Why we decided to parametrize? After the investigation different paintings we found out that some patterns were very similar with each other. Then it came out the idea of parametrize not to reach to different designs and constructive solutions, that could be grouped and adjusted depending on the intentions and needs of the users.
This process can also be participatory, together with the population, thought drawings, digital media, traditional technologies and from local auto construction.
